Join LA Plaza de Cultura y Artes for a book signing event with children’s author Dr. Kathleen Contreras for her latest book release, “Born to Play Béisbol: The Magical Career of Fernando Valenzuela."
This is the first children’s book, in English and Spanish, dedicated to a true baseball legend and L.A. Dodger cultural icon, Fernando Valenzuela.
Fernando's legacy will be highlighted at the event, not only for his baseball accomplishments, but also for his contribution to building multicultural fan bases at Dodger Stadium and ballparks around the country and opening up the sport to players from the Americas, Caribbean and Asia.
