The Kitty Bungalow Charm School for Wayward Cats celebrates 15th Anniversary with a “Purr-rom,” which is a prom with cats. Located in South Los Angeles, it's California's only 100% feral cat rescue, socialization and adoption facility.
The catty prom will be held at Immaculate Heart High School, on Saturday, June 7 with an 80s theme. The cover band the Spazmatics will perform. Kids can visit The Purr Room, artist and cat-friend Gary Baseman’s immersive black cat installation. Fun and games will include a silent auction, an IHHS student art show and sale, refreshments, a raffle, crafts, school photos, tarot readings, claw machines, and adoptable kittens to cuddle.
All proceeds raised from the event will enable Kitty Bungalow to continue providing food, medicine, and trap-neuter-release (TNR) services to Los Angeles’ most vulnerable felines. In the first three months of 2025, Kitty Bungalow performed over 300 TNRs, employed 42 working cats, and helped nearly 75 cats find their fur-ever homes.
VIP tickets include a fancy feast, claw machine and drink tickets as well as a VIP gift. General admission tickets will provide drink and claw machine tickets. Parking is available, rideshare and prom attire is encouraged.
