Councilmember Eunisses Hernandez will be joining Angel’s Nest for a ribbon-cutting ceremony to launch a new transitional housing program, “Wings of Empowerment,” on Tuesday, October 29th. This initiative is designed specifically for young women transitioning out of the foster care system.

The program will provide new housing units and vital support for former foster youth and young adults experiencing homelessness in District 1. It aims to serve as a crucial resource for Transition-Aged Youth, who are disproportionately affected by homelessness and housing insecurity in Los Angeles.

Councilmember Hernandez said this important milestone will empower young women and tackle the pressing need for stable housing in the community.
