Mexican singer Pepe Aguilar made history on Monday, by performing mariachi music on "Jimmy Kimmel Live."
The 55-year-old Mariachi singer has had quite an eventful year so far, not only with his tour and new music but also by performing for the first time on a national English broadcast network.
Aguilar performed his song "Mira Quién Lo Dice," which delves into the emotional aftermath of a broken relationship, highlighting the irony and hypocrisy of his former partner's accusations. The song is also a reflection of the pain and betrayal one feels when promises are not kept. And with Aguilar's strong and powerful voice, he is able to deliver those emotions and bring to life the story through his music.
With a solo career that has lasted 35 years, the Grammy-winning singer, songwriter and producer has a total of 33 albums to his credit. Even though Aguilar sings in Spanish, he believes that music can transcend worlds.
