Visiting an amusement park can be overwhelming if you are a mom. In my experience, taking my toddler to Universal Studios Hollywood for the first time was a wild ride. Here are some tips to make your experience better and make the trip fun and also memorable.
Purchasing tickets
First thing first, plan ahead and buy tickets that are on sale. Make sure to check the weather the day of the trip to dress accordingly and comfortably.
Height requirements for little ones
Universal Studios is well known for its many exciting rides and attractions, yet many of these rides have a minimum height requirement in order to ensure the safety of families with small children. There are three categories that riders can fit into when it comes to height requirements.

Universal Studios Child Switch program
Universal now offers a Child Switch program, which means that if any child in your group can’t go on a ride, one or two adults can wait with them in a special room at the front of the queue. With this system, you don't have to wait in line again for rides and can go on them right away. The only problem with this option is that you still have to wait in line with your child, who can easily get bored and irritated. Make sure to take a couple of small toys or snacks to get them distracted. Universal Studios rides with Child Switch include:

Toddler-friendly experiences
Studio Tour: The good news is that the Studio Tour has no height requirement. However, keep in mind that the tour is an hour-long and that some of the 3D experiences have a lot of movement and really loud noises. My son, who is three years old, partially enjoyed the tour because he did not like the loud noises and big movements.
DreamWorks Theatre Featuring Kung Fu Panda: Kung Fu Panda is a fun 4D show where guests can watch Po, Mr. Ping, and Master Shifu embark on a mission to deliver the Liquid of Ultimate Power to the Emperor. This show also has no height requirement, so have fun.
Silly Swirly Fun Ride: Although riders under 48 inches require a supervising companion, there is no height requirement for the Silly Swirly Fun Ride.
The Secret Life of Pets: Off the Leash: Little ones who are 34 inches or taller can experience this cute attraction.
Dino Play: Located near the Jurassic World entrance ride, this play area has a playground, climbing area, and digging site, which I highly recommend.
Diaper changing stations in all park restrooms and nursing facilities
Every single restroom throughout Universal has diaper changing stations available for convenience. Nursing mothers can also use the family center's nursing facilities, which provide a convenient, safe and private nursing area for mothers visiting parks.
Strollers are available to rent at the park
If you're a mom reading this, then you are probably aware that you need to bring your stroller for a baby and even a toddler. But for those that don't know, the park also has strollers available to rent. This is a very convenient option for families traveling from out of state who do not want to travel with bulky items.

Does Not Meet the Height Requirement – If a rider does not meet the height requirement, they are not permitted to ride.
May Ride with a Supervising companion – With this option, there is a second height requirement in place. Riders who do not meet the initial height requirement, but meet the second one, can get on the ride with a supervising companion who is 14 years of age or older and is tall enough to get on the ride.
Meets the Height Requirement – Riders that meet the height requirement can go on the ride by themselves.
