Javier Herrera caught a foul ball with his bare hands in Wednesday's game against the White Sox.

The ball was headed towards Dodgers superstar Shohei Ohtani but Herrera caught it before it could hit the player in the head. Ohtani only had time to duck quickly to avoid the ball but thanks to Herrera, he didn’t have to worry about an injury.

Herrera has worked for the Dodgers for decades, and in 2016 he went viral  while trying to catch a foul ball, he took a big fall over the railing, the Los Angeles Times reported. The fans still cheered him on, and yesterday fans were reminded once again that Herrera is part of the team, ready to catch foul balls, gloves or not.

Hear in LA posted on X “Please let it be known we will pack Dodger Stadium for Javier Herrera Bobblehead day.” Indeed.
