Dodger star Enrique "Kiké" Hernández, fresh off the team's 2024 World Series victory, worked a “shift'' today at the Raising Cane's restaurant in Alhambra.
The center fielder picked up a shift as a fry cook and worked the register Monday morning. Who knew the star would be ready to work after back-to-back intense baseball games for the Dodgers? Hundreds of fans gathered outside the restaurant, hoping to get a glimpse of the World Series champ.

Hernandez hasn’t been the only Dodger star who has picked up a shift before at the same location. His teammate Mookie Betts worked a shift before the season began in March. In 2023, the Dodgers acquired Hernandez after he spent time with the Boston Red Sox. Before joining the Dodgers, he played multiple seasons with the team that won the World Series in 2020.
“The last couple days and weeks have been a dream. This is what we play for – to win the World Series!” said Hernández. “Getting to celebrate with a parade and seeing the city show up for us was amazing. I had a smile from ear to ear the entire time and that was just pure joy and happiness, not only for us but for the city and our fans, because they really deserved this. We’re just getting started and the team is going to be even better next year with more exciting times for LA to come. I love winning – that’s what we do!”
