On Thursday, October 9, the Fundación Juguetón Casimirense will be hosting the 9th Annual Recognition Night in the city of El Monte, which will pay tribute to La Original Banda El Limón de Salvador Lizárraga for their musical legacy.
This special night celebrates the band’s 60-year journey and the mark they’ve made on Regional Mexican music in the entertainment world. In addition, the event will raise funds and collect non-violent toys for kids in Casimiro Castillo, Jalisco, continuing a nearly 10-year tradition by Fundación Juguetón Casimirense that brings smiles to thousands of children every year.
This event is also a cultural celebration organized by entertainment reporter Shy Gutierrez. “I prefer to see a happy child rather than a sad one. And as Mother Teresa of Calcutta used to say, I am only a pencil in the hand of God,” he said.
The 9th Annual Recognition Night will include a special dinner honoring La Original Banda El Limón, and will welcome a lineup of distinguished artists and special guests walking the red carpet and joining in this historic celebration.
Among them are La Dama Brava, Gerardo Fernández, Erika Rojo, Gustavo Rivera, Janet Uribe, Meño Lugo, Roberto Valenzuela, Korina López, Danny López, Fernando Vargas, Jr. Salazar and more.
