Free Tax Prep Los Angeles (FTPLA) is launching its 2025 tax season with a press conference to raise awareness about the free tax preparation services available to eligible Angelenos earning up to $67,000 annually.
During the event, L.A. City Councilmembers Imelda Padilla from Council District 6 and Hugo Soto-Martinez from Council District 13 will share key updates, such as the expanded tax credits available to low-income residents and the ease of filing through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program.
Additionally, eligible families can claim over $10,000 in credits, such as the Federal and State Earned Income Tax Credits, the Federal Child Tax Credit and the State’s Young Child Tax Credit, for those who make up to $67,000 annually.
