Mayor Karina Macias of Huntington Park celebrated her birthday by becoming principal for a day at Linda Esperanza Marquez High School.
Los Angeles Unified School District said that they were grateful for her willingness to step into this role and greet students with a warm welcome.
“Had the amazing opportunity to visit Linda Esperanza Marquez High School and had amazing conversations with our students.” Macias said on her Instagram. Students made sure they welcomed her for her role as the principal with big and vibrant posters that they created.
