The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health has confirmed a measles case in the county.
The health department also announced potential exposure for individuals at the following locations on these dates:
Wednesday, March 5 between 7:00 p.m. and 10:40 p.m. at LAX in the Tom Bradley International Terminal (Terminal B).
Friday, March 7 between 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.: Cloud 9 Nail Salon, 5142 N. Lankershim Blvd., North Hollywood, CA 91601
Monday, March 10 between 8:15 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.: Superior Grocery Store, 10683 Valley Blvd., El Monte, CA 91731
If you were at these locations during the specified times, please:
Review your immunization records to confirm protection against measles. Consult a healthcare provider about the MMR vaccine if necessary. Contact your healthcare provider if you are pregnant, an infant, have a weakened immune system, or are unimmunized.
Monitor for symptoms (fever or rash) from 7 to 21 days after exposure.
If symptoms develop, stay home and avoid public spaces. Contact a healthcare provider immediately and inform them of your exposure.
Measles is preventable and vaccination is the best way to protect ourselves and our communities.
