Perreo 4 Peace is returning for its second event at Mi Corazón Mexican Cuisine, and 100% of ticket proceeds will be donated to an immigration organization supporting Latino immigrant families in Los Angeles.

DJOMW was genuinely surprised by the turnout at the first event. “I don’t think any of us were expecting it to be packed out like that,” he said. “Everybody there was saying they've never seen the restaurant like that, active, like that packed, it was super great.”

For their first event, they chose not to place a cap on ticket sales, even though the restaurant has a capacity of approximately 250 people. In total, they raised about $2,500 through the sale of $8 tickets.

“Honestly, I decided to host another Perro 4 Peace just because change doesn't really occur by showing up once. It's really about showing up every time you can, and just reminding people and inspiring people to be involved in their community. There's just so many easy ways to get involved, and I hope this event eventually inspires someone else to do something even greater,” DJOMW said.

He also told CALÓ News that events like these are especially important given the current political climate and the actions of the current presidential administration. “It's systematically hurting not only Latino communities but all communities throughout L.A. and throughout the U.S.. I just find it kind of hard to work my 9 to 5, and have the opportunity and the blessing of being a D.J. and still just kind of benefit from Latino communities, from the music we listen to, to the food we eat, like all that, I still feel like there's more we can do to take action,” DJOMW said.
