Lalo on CALÓ: Rudy RIP
I always thought that Professor Rudy Acuña was the coolest professor ever. But despite his signature shades, he wasn't just that. He was the founder of Chicano Studies, and author of one of the seminal CS books, the once banned Occupied America. Anybody in any Chicano Studies class had to have read that foundational book. I met Professor Acuña a few times, he was friendly, yet cranky, and just the towering figure we all thought he was. Rest In Peace, Rudy.
