Opinion: Newsom is right. Wake up, America

First they came for the socialists, and they called Kamala Harris a Marxist socialist, even though she has always been considered a centrist. So much so, that many on the left refused to vote for her because she is a “cop.”

Then they came for the immigrants, and many have spoken out, and even judges have issued orders limiting their actions, which Trump’s immigration lackies continue to ignore, overruling any sanctuary law and declaration.

Then they came for the trade unionists, because they have also spoken out for immigrants.

Now that Newsom is speaking out and trying to do something, people and the media are acting like he’s the one being radical.

Are we serious? Trump is asking for more seats from Texas so he can maintain control of the House and Congress and Newsom is the radical? 

Where are the checks and balances in this country? Trump already has the Supreme Court. Do we want to give him the legislative branch on a platter too?

Newsom is right, at least about this: Wake up America, or you will not have a Democracy if Trump keeps control of Congress next year.

The facade of a Democratic government will disappear, completely. And there will be no way for anyone to speak out.
