Gallery walk

Gallery walk at Compton Museum.

On June 7, 2025, a massive protest erupted in Compton following an ICE raid at a nearby Home Depot.

Just weeks later, on July 26, the Compton Museum unveiled “Boundless Echoes,” an exhibition tracing Compton’s legacy of protest, resistance and collective power, with a spotlight on the recent ICE demonstrations that shook the city.

Since last June, ICE has detained, arrested and deported hundreds of people from the streets of Los Angeles, Compton, Montebello, Ontario, Pomona and other cities in Southern California.

On Thursday, they will have a Gallery Walk with Marquell Byrd, curator and featured photographer in “Boundless Echoes: The Unending Sound of Resistance.”

As the closing of the exhibition approaches, Byrd will share behind-the-scenes insights into the photography and curatorial process, including work captured during last summer’s protests against ICE raids.

Thursday, Jan. 15th, 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. Compton Museum, 306 Compton Blvd #104
