Sabor Del Valle Los Angeles hosted a Latino Food and Wine Festival at LA Plaza de Cultura y Artes on Cinco de Mayo, bringing in a line-up of Latino winemakers from California's Central Coast and sabores from some of the best Southern California chefs.
After selling out last year, the collective returned this year to host the event in the heart of Los Angeles, with fine Mexican cuisine, mariachis, folklorico dancers and a dozen or so wine vendors.
Sabor Del Valle was co-founded by Fidencio Flores, a third-generation winemaker, farmer and founder of Esfuerzo Wines, and Israel Villegas, co-founder of the Orgullo Wine Group and founder of Lucha Media Advertising and Studios Los Angeles. Villegas’ roots in Mexico and Guatemala were the catalyst of his passion for winemaking.

Proceeds to the event were donated in part to Athletes in the Making, a local nonprofit supporting youth athletes.
