The West Coast retailer Curacao announced today the launch of a new community outreach initiative to support local families facing hardship.

Through its Essential Needs Assistance Program, Curacao will provide free household items such as microwaves, compact refrigerators, televisions and small appliances to help vulnerable families stay safe, informed and comfortable in their homes. The program also includes limited grocery assistance, with free delivery for families without access to food.

This effort represents a significant expansion of Curacao's longstanding community commitment. In response to the increased need, the company is utilizing its logistics network to bring support directly to customers' homes. Aid will be provided on a case-by-case basis, following careful review to ensure it reaches those most in need.

The company said products and food will be delivered directly to the beneficiaries' homes once approved.

CALÓ News reached out for further details about the requirements to apply and the company sent this statement: "Families interested in applying for this service must complete a virtual form. The form requests key information such as their name, email address, and (optionally) their Curacao account number, along with additional details about their current situation. These details help the team evaluate each application fairly and thoroughly based on urgency."
