Screen capture of DHS television ad with Spanish subtitles.
A one minute video of Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem thanking President Donald Trump for “securing the border” has aired in several television stations, including the Spanish-language network Telemundo. Noem says in the video that if people don’t have legal documentation to live in the U.S., they will be deported.
“If you try to enter illegally, you will be caught, you will be removed,” Noem says in the video. “And you will never return.”
The video has Spanish subtitles when aired in Spanish stations.

According to CBS, Noem said thanking Trump in the $200 million television ad campaign was the president’s idea.
Two Republican-linked companies received the contract for the ad campaign, according to Associated Press. One of them is People Who Think. LLC and the other is Safe America Media, LLC, both owned by political consultants who have worked for Republicans.
