AltaMed Health Services and community-based organizations, including Global Empowerment Mission (GEM), are hosting a free family-friendly resource fair for community members impacted by the Eaton fire.
The fair will offer free health screenings, essential supplies, financial and legal assistance, children’s activities and more on Saturday, May 3.
AltaMed lost one of its clinics in the Eaton Fire and many of its patients, doctors, nurses and staff have been impacted by the disaster. According to the Los Angeles Times, 77% of Eaton fire survivors reported the fires added the highest levels of stress to their lives.
The same poll found that most survivors were long-term residents of their neighborhoods, and 74% of respondents from the Eaton Fire reported structural damage to their homes.
The fair will be on Saturday, May 3 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at AltaMed at 2055 Lincoln Ave. in Pasadena.
