Bell Mayor Quintana selected as new L.A. County president for the League of California Cities

The League of California Cities, Los Angeles County Division and cities in L.A. County recognized Bell Mayor Ana Maria Quintana as the new President of the League’s Board of Directors at a ceremony in the City of Bell. 

The League of California Cities is a nonprofit that provides advocacy for incorporated cities at the state capitol and provides training and resources to local elected officials. With the Los Angeles County Division being the largest of the League, Bell Mayor Quintana will represent all the cities in the Los Angeles County Division.  

“I am grateful for the opportunity to represent Bell on the Division’s Board of Directors and appreciate the chance to lead as President,” said Quintana at the ceremony on August 6. “I look forward to working with the other cities in the Division to make the organization an even stronger voice for the cities we represent.”

Quintana previously served on the executive board for the L.A. County Division and was elected to the Bell City Council in 2011. 

The League’s Division Executive Director Jennifer Quan also spoke at the ceremony. 

“We are pleased to install Ana Maria as our Division President and know her experience and knowledge will be a great asset to the Division in the coming year,” said Quan. “Her leadership in Los Angeles County is important to advancing the strategic priorities of Cal Cities and of cities throughout the state.” 

Along with Quintana, 12 other city officials from around L.A. county also joined the 2026-27 Los Angeles County Division Board of Directors. 

According to the League of California Cities, the Los Angeles County Division is guided by an executive committee with leadership from the division president. The committee participates in division meetings throughout the year to share what they are doing and advocate for their interests in Sacramento and regionally.
