Congresswoman Norma Torres, D-Ontario, said staff in her district office discovered a suspicious, white powdery substance in two incoming letters addressed to her office.
Hazmat teams were on site investigating the substance and her staff remained in place.
Congresswoman Norma Torres represents California’s 35th Congressional District, which includes the cities of Chino, Chino Hills, Eastvale, Fontana, Montclair, Ontario, Pomona, Rancho Cucamonga, and Upland.
Local law enforcement is investigating.
