A 41-year-old man who authorities said was diagnosed with an undisclosed mental disorder was reported missing Wednesday after he was last seen in Boyle Heights.
Carlos Velazquez was last seen on Monday at 1:29 p.m. on the 1000 block of San Pablo Street, just west of the Hazard Recreation Center, said the Sheriff's Information Bureau.
Velazquez is Latino, 5 feet, 9 inches tall, weighs 215 pounds, has black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a long black raincoat, a dark colored shirt and green pants. Authorities said Velazquez may be driving a gray 2019 Nissan Sentra with the California license plate number 8VMS459.
Anyone who has seen Velazquez or knows of his whereabouts was asked to call the Sheriff's Missing Persons Detail at 323-890-5500. Anonymous callers may call Crime Stoppers at 800-22-8477 or send tips to lacrimestoppers.org.
