The third Díalogos session titled “Encara al racismo: A dialogue on overcoming hate and building solidarity” will be this Thursday in Little Tokyo.
The Díalogos series is organized by the Latino Media Collaborative and its news initiative CALÓ News.
Join experts and leaders who will tackle the pressing issue of hate within historically marginalized communities, with a special focus on the Latino experience and what role the news media can play in fostering meaningful conversations at home.
Speakers and panelists include Los Angeles councilmember Imelda Padilla, Dr. Adrian Pantoja, professor of Political and Chicano Studies at Pitzer College, journalist, producer and activist Constanza Eliana Chinea and Andy Ruiz from St. John’s Community Health where he is a Stop the Hate service provider.
The discussion will be led by CALÓ News reporters Brenda Verano and Michelle Zacarias.
The session will take place on June 27, 4-7 pm at 360 E. 2nd St., 2nd floor. Los Angeles, 90012.
