Another Latino television show has been canceled. “This Fool,” starring and created by Chris Estrada, has been canceled after two seasons.
“Thanks to the fans who watched both seasons of 'This Fool,' posted about it, & recommended it to others. It truly means a lot. Hopefully the show will live on to be a classic comedy that is rewatched & discovered by new viewers. Thank you,” Estrada posted on X, formerly Twitter.
“This Fool” was created for the streaming platform Hulu and featured many Latino actors including Frankie Quiñones, Laura Patalano, Michelle Ortiz and more.
Chris Estrada played Julio, who is described as an “A punk-a** b** with a heart of gold goes out of his way to help everyone but himself.”
Quiñones also posted, “When you find out @ThisFoolHulu got canceled.. I’m still trying to process this. Feels like a homie died. Huge thank you to my homeboy @ChrisEstrada85 and the whole crew. I’ll forever be proud of this show. Thanks to everyone who’s already out there trying to #SaveThisFool”
The hashtag #SaveThisFool started trending on the social media platform yesterday.
Comedian Marcella Arguello posted, “I should start like a fake angry woke Latina character that’s glad this fool got [canceled] because it was bad for latinxs just to get people worked up and use the #savethisfool hashtag more. people love interacting with someone wrong.”
