Varicose Vein Laser Center & Med Spa located in Montebello.
Next month, Varicose Vein Laser Center & Med Spa is launching a community vein health screening initiative in the city of Montebello to help local residents detect early signs of venous insufficiency and leg pain.
Vascular issues such as varicose veins, spider veins, chronic venous insufficiency, leg ulcers and leg pain affect millions of adults, often going untreated due to lack of awareness or limited access to specialty care.
A population-based study in San Diego found that varicose veins affect 26% of the Latino community, while Latina women experience them at a rate of 26.3%.
In order to address this problem the practice will offer screenings at no cost for eligible community members seeking to evaluate their circulatory health and symptoms of the disease, which include leg pain, heaviness, swelling, aching, fatigue and more.
“Our goal with this initiative is simple: to meet our neighbors where they are and give back to the Montebello community that has supported us for more than 25 years,” said Dr. Zelda Billingy, Medical Director at Varicose Vein Laser Center & Med Spa. “Early detection is critical when it comes to vein health. By opening our doors two Sundays every month for free screenings, we hope to empower individuals to take proactive steps toward relieving pain, improving their appearance, preventing complications, and improving their overall quality of life.”
Screening appointments will include a brief consultation, a non-invasive preliminary vein evaluation and potential next steps or treatment options if vascular issues are detected.
Registration is required prior to attending a screening. Local residents who wish to confirm their eligibility and secure a time slot should contact the clinic directly at 323-722-0312 or text 323-440-2045.
When: Sunday, November 15, & Sunday, November 22, 2026.
Where: Varicose Vein Laser Center & Med Spa, 2457 W. Beverly Blvd., Montebello, CA 90640.
