If you're a parent, you most likely know how expensive diapers are right now. Thankfully the city of Cudahy is hosting a diaper distribution this Thursday, February 22.

This event is for Cudahy residents only. Individuals will need to take a valid photo I.D. with proof of residency as well as a birth certificate. You are also able to take insurance cards for minors as another form of proof.

Diapers are a pricey, essential item for new parents and toddler parents. They are now even more expensive, further hurting low-income families already struggling with post-pandemic-related economic hardships.

In 2021, citing numbers from retail sales data tracker NielsenIQ, CNN reported that diaper prices have risen as much as 8.7% since then. Currently many parents pay around $80 a month or more to provide diapers for just one child. Most children often go through about 12 diapers a day.
