CHIRLA’s 8th Annual Immi’Art "Healing Together" features 30 immigrant artists and performers seeking to promote cultural contributions by immigrants in the U.S.

The Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights (CHIRLA) will hold a two-day art exhibit as part of Hispanic Heritage Month on September 19 and 20 in Los Angeles, featuring over 30 artists and performers of immigrant descent.

Under the theme "Healing Together," CHIRLA’s 8th Annual Immi’Art exhibit will have street vendor-style food as well as entertainment, musical and dance performances, and a short program.

Works by well-known and emerging artists such as Cynthia Ortega, a Mexican American muralist and tattoo artist and Rosaura Pila-Godinez, a 27-year-old DACA recipient, will be featured as part of the exhibit.

Performances include Romance Nocturno, Samia Karimi, Ricardo Carrillo, and Ballet Mexica. 

Immi’Art” is an annual art and performance exhibit celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month presented by CHIRLA.  More than 300 artists and performers of immigrant descent from throughout the U.S. and internationally have participated in “Immi’Art. throughout the years.

Opening reception is  Friday, September 19 at 5:30 p.m.
