Cedars-Sinai mobile medical clinic serves underserved pediatric patients in South Los Angeles with immediate medical, behavioral health and community needs.
This February, Cedars-Sinai, a non-profit medical center, will bring their mobile clinic to a Northgate market near you.
Their Community Outreach Assistance for Children’s Health for Kids (COACH) program helps parents get their children up to date with vaccines and provide them with free medical treatment at no cost.
Cedars-Sinai mobile medical clinic, COACH for Kids, serves underserved pediatric patients in South Los Angeles with immediate medical, behavioral health and community needs.
Coach for Kids encourages families who are without a medical home, are uninsured or are on Medi-Cal to visit the mobile clinic. Families with any type of immigration status can also be helped with the most sensitivity and confidentiality, including when being referred to neighborhood clinics.
Children ages 0-18 qualify for free physical exams, childhood vaccinations, flu shots, COVID-19 vaccinations, pediatric hearing and vision screenings. They also qualify for pediatric laboratory testing and tuberculosis screenings.
COACH for Kids is made up of a caring team of specialists, including a pediatric nurse practitioner, a family nurse practitioner, social workers, community health worker, registered nurses and outreach coordinator.
In addition to all these services,Cedars-Sinai COACH for Kids program offers treatment for minor illnesses and connects parents to a medical, dental and vision provider and other community resources
