AltaMed Health Services will provide free food for the Thanksgiving holiday outside its South Gate clinic on Sunday, November 23, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., or until supplies last.
The food items, among other resources, will be first come, first serve but registration is encouraged.

According to the UCLA Latino Policy & Politics Institute, almost half of Latino low-income adults in California face food insecurity and struggle to meet basic needs. Food insecurity is often associated with poor health and a reduced ability to access healthcare. AltaMed Health Services serves a historically underserved community where holiday stress due to financial pressures is prevalent.
