Mi gente Latino! Jennifer Lopez will be hosting the American Music Awards this year.

This year, none of the top award nominations went to a Latino, but the 2025 American Music Awards do have a few Latin music categories that people can vote in. 

The fan-voted award show will be hosted by Jennifer Lopez live from Las Vegas on Memorial Day, Monday, May 26 at 5 p.m. PT, broadcast on CBS and streamed on Paramount+.

The Favorite Male Latin Artist nominees are Bad Bunny, Feid, Peso Pluma, Rauw Alejandro and

Tito Double P. Bad Bunny was won three times, in 2020, 2021, and 2022.

Becky G has won the Favorite Female Artist twice, in 2020 and 2021. She is once again nominated, along with Karol G, Natti Natasha, Shakira and Young Miko. Shakira won in 2005, 2006, 2010, 2012 and 2017, when the Latin Music Artist category had not yet been expanded.

For Favorite Latino Duo or Group, all the nominees are new. Fuerza Regida, Calibre 50, Grupo Firme, Grupo Frontera and Julión Álvarez y su Norteño Banda.

The Favorite Latin Album nominees are Bad Bunny’s “DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS,” Fuerza Regida’s “Dolido Pero No Arrepentido,” Peso Pluma’s “ÉXODO,” Rauw Alejandro’s “Cosa Nuestra” and Tito Double P’s “INCÓMODO.”

Karol G is competing for the Favorite Latin Song with “Si Antes Te Hubiera Conocido” against Bad Bunny’s “DtMF,” “Gata Only” from FloyyMenor X Cris Mj, Oscar Maydon & Fuerza Regida with “Tu Boda” and Shakira’s “Soltera.”

Fan voting is now open via VoteAMAs.com and the @AMAs Instagram page in all award categories. Voting closes on Thursday, May 15 at 11:59:59pm PT, with the exception of Collaboration of the Year and Social Song of the Year, which will remain open through the first 30 minutes of the AMAs broadcast.

The 2025 American Music Awards winners are voted entirely by fans. Nominees are based on key fan interactions – as reflected on the Billboard charts – including streaming, album and song sales, radio airplay and tour grosses. These measurements are tracked by Billboard and Luminate, the entertainment industry’s most trusted data partner, and cover the data tracking eligibility period of March 22, 2024 through March 20, 2025.
