independent, community-centered journalism that matters. - 1

The election results remind us that our focus on Latino-centered journalism is more important than ever.

We will continue to bring you stories that matter most to the diverse Latino community. We aim to report on all aspects of the Latino political spectrum, including covering the defiance and resistance to government policies.

More than a newsroom, we hope to be a force of advocacy and support for those directly impacted by this election.

We stand in solidarity with all those feeling election grief in these moments.

We cannot ignore the deep fears and uncertainties that many Latino immigrants, LGBTQIA+ individuals and women may face in the coming years. For many in these communities, the results of this election have sparked a sense of vulnerability, as they worry about the future of policies that directly impact their rights, safety, and opportunities.

We will analyze and contextualize the reasons that Latinos voted for Trump. Whether it was for religious reasons like an anti-abortion stance, economic, racism, misogyny, toxic masculinity or the Democratic party’s stance on Gaza, we will delve deeper into the circumstances that turned a larger percentage of Latinos toward the Republican ticket.

We remain committed to cover our undocumented community who are threatened by a historic-level deportation order from the incoming administration.

Our newsroom is an unapologetic voice for our Latino communities, whether they voted or were unable to vote. We will provide the space for everyone and dedicate our work to cover our community with care, courage, and compassion. Together, we’re not afraid of what comes next.
