Local talent can now apply to perform at the 65th Annual Los Angeles County Holiday Celebration, hosted by The Music Center.

L.A. County-based performing arts groups interested in representing the talent, cultures and traditions of communities across the region are encouraged to apply online and submit video samples now through August 13, 2024. Selected performers will receive an honorarium and perform onstage at The Music Center’s Dorothy Chandler Pavilion.

The eligible requirements to participate are the following:

  1. Performers must be based in Los Angeles County.

  2. Performers must belong to one of the following performance categories: dance, music, vocal arts, musical theater and/or circus arts. Performances must be suitable for an all-ages crowd.

  3. Group leader must be age 18+.

 

This long-standing, multicultural, multi-denominational L.A. tradition will be livestreamed and broadcast on PBS SoCal to Southern California audiences. During the three-hour live production, a variety of performing arts will be featured, including dance, music, vocals, and musical theater.

The show will take place on Tuesday, December 24, 2024, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. PT. 

How to apply:

Apply online at musiccenter.org/holidaycelebration

Applicants will be required to submit a high-quality video (three minutes maximum) that must:

  1. Show a continuous performance (no edited pieces or montages), and

  2. Be a recent recording within the past two to  years.

 

If applicants do not have a performance recording at this time, they can start the application and submit the video portion any time before the August 13, 2024, deadline.

August 13, 2024, by 11:59 p.m. PT
