Nina Kramer, a Chilean-American award-winning comedy writer, director and actor based in Los Angeles, has been picked as one of the NBCU LAUNCH TV Directors 2024-26 class program.

Kramer has a track record of success, with their recent projects including campaigns for brands such as Amazon, Reddit, Disney and YouTube Premium. Notably, their commercial campaign for FUJIFILM won the American Advertising Award for Best Series in 2023.

Their narrative work has also received high honors at various film festivals and has won an Emmy for Best Scripted Web Series. Most recently, they were selected to participate in Disney Entertainment's 2024 TV Directors Program where they directed their first TV episode, ABC’s  “General Hospital.”

They have also shadowed on shows such as “Abbott Elementary” and are currently in development on a hourlong series with the Wolper Organization based on their true-life learning that their mother was South American political royalty.

Founded in 2009, NBCU's LAUNCH TV Directors Program provides directors from diverse backgrounds the opportunity to break into episodic television. The program aligns with the company's mission to create authentic stories by featuring talent whose personal experiences shape their distinctive creative perspectives.

Chosen from more than 600 applicants Kramer will be part of the class along withParisa Barani (“Law & Order”), Winter Dunn (“The Irrational”) and Liz Sargent (“Chicago Med”).

Now, in its fifteenth year, this new class has added more learning development opportunities to prepare the program directors to helm their first episode of scripted television. This initiative also guarantees participants to helm at least one episode by the end of the program. Kramer will be shadowing on the television series “St. Denis Medical” and is guaranteed to direct an episode in season two.

To be eligible for the NBCU’s program, candidates are required to have directing experience in their respective fields, including feature-length films, short films, music videos, commercials, digital content and unscripted programming. All eligibility requirements can be found here.
