Brusdar Graterol

Venezuelan pitcher Brusdar Javier Graterol skipped the recent Dodgers visit to the White House.

He posted a picture of himself on social media holding his daughter, with his house in the background and the caption “in my brown house” with a heart face emoji.

Despite heavy criticism from many fans, the L.A. Dodgers joined President Donald Trump at the White House on April 7 to celebrate the team's 2024 World Series championship.

Nearly all the Dodger players except Freddie Freeman, who is recovering from an ankle sprain, participated, as did manager Dave Roberts and the team coaches. Visitors included shortstop Mookie Betts, who skipped a White House visit in 2018 when his Boston Red Sox title team visited during President Donald Trump's first term.

Graterol was also injured, but his post gave fans some doubt as to whether his injury wasn’t the only reason he skipped the presidential visit.

In 2023, his mother was finally able to see him play after seven years of separation and it was captured on video.
