Before the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the soccer organization will host the 2025 Club World Cup this summer in the U.S. and they are looking for volunteers.

The Club World Cup takes place every four years, with the first Club World Cup tournament taking place in 2000, hosted by Brazil. This is the first time the Club World Cup is being hosted in the United States.

Volunteers can see FIFA tournaments behind the scenes and perform a variety of essential functions, including greeting soccer players, guiding fans to their seats, carrying flags, supporting media and preparing accreditation passes.

FIFA's revamped volunteer program was launched in December 2020.

To date, the FIFA Volunteer Programme has been deployed at 21 tournaments and events, including the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup and the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar, where a record 420,000 applications were received to fill 20,000 places.

"Volunteers are the heart and soul, as well as the face and smile, of FIFA tournaments," said FIFA President Gianni Infantino. "Their passion, smiles, energy and positivity play an essential role in the success of every FIFA competition, helping to create a unique and unforgettable atmosphere in the host countries. We simply couldn't organize our tournaments without them."

Fans age 18 and over can register on the FIFA Volunteering Platform (volunteer.fifa.com/register ) to receive the latest news and updates on volunteering at upcoming FIFA events. Fans and the general public interested in volunteering at FIFA tournaments, including the FIFA World Cup, can also apply through the platform.

Applications are now open for the FIFA Club World Cup 2025, which will take place in the United States from June 14 to July 13 and will require 9,000 volunteers, and for the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Seychelles 2025.
