The Luckman Fine Arts Complex at Cal State LA presents cutting-edge professional music, dance, theatre, and visual arts from around the world.
Celebrate the season on Saturday, November 29, as the Luckman Fine Arts Complex at Cal State LA welcomes Grandeza Mexicana Folk Ballet Company’s "Diciembre Mexicano: A Mexican Christmas Celebration."
Founded in September 2003, Grandeza Mexicana became a performing arts nonprofit organization composed of company and academy members. The organization is also known for its high-caliber dance productions that represent the rich national culture of Mexico.
During the Christmas show celebration will also feature Mariachi Arcoiris de Los Angeles with a holiday performance that showcases Mexican culture through vivid costumes, dynamic dance and live music. Additionally, the Folk Ballet Company's choreography is committed to preserving the traditions and customs of Mexico’s historic past and promising present.
The company has not only performed on some of the world’s largest stages like the Hollywood Bowl, but they have also accompanied some of the most acclaimed Latin musicians, including Lila Downs, José Feliciano and Luis Miguel.
