Baldwin Park Dia de Muertos event.
The City of Baldwin Park will honor tradition and celebrate life at the annual Día de los Muertos Celebration on Thursday, October 9, from 5-9 p.m. at Susan Rubio Zócalo Park (14349 E. Pacific Ave.)
This family-friendly event will feature cultural performances, free arts and crafts activities, local artisan vendors and delicious food in a festive atmosphere that honors the rich traditions of Día de los Muertos.
“Día de los Muertos is a beautiful tradition that brings our community together to remember and celebrate the lives of those who came before us,” said Baldwin Park Mayor Alejandra Avila. “This celebration reflects the vibrant culture and spirit of Baldwin Park, and we’re excited to welcome families, neighbors and friends to enjoy an evening filled with music, dance, art and community connection.”
The evening will showcase cultural performances that bring the spirit of Día de los Muertos to life.
Performers include Ballet Folklorico de Sally Savedra, Aztec Dance by Cayolxauhqui Telpochcall and live musical entertainment by Latin artist Luis E.
Throughout the evening, families can participate in free arts and crafts activities, including a free sugar skull making workshop where participants can create their own colorful calaveras to take home. Local artisan vendors will showcase handcrafted goods, while food booths will offer a variety of delicious options to satisfy every appetite.
Free parking will be available at the City parking structure and Metrolink parking lots.
