On September 22, Amapola Market held an event celebrating its 62nd anniversary along with Hispanic Heritage Month in Downey, California, which was at one of their three locations. The Amapola Market welcomed the public to celebrate this milestone by having different activities such as food tasting, music entertainment, and a radio station that gave out prizes. When it comes to their customers, Amapola Market’s mission has always been to bring products that feel and taste authentic to their customers’ backgrounds and cultures. To support the community, Amapola Market launched a fundraiser for the Latino Equality Alliance’s (LEA) LGBTQ+ Youth Scholarship Fund during their celebration.
