This Friday December 19, the Posada del Pueblo will feature bands and atole without ice.
Among the performers for the Posada are Los Ángeles Negros, Los Cadetes de Linares, Sonora Santanera, Los Jornaleros del Norte and DJ Vampiro Fronterizo.
“The ponche, atole and champurrado don’t have ice,” the advertisement for the event indicates, and they are likely referring to more than frozen ice cubes. The National Day Laborer Organizing Network (NDLON) is listed as an organizer of the event.
"In challenging times, we make community, we take care of each other, and we celebrate as one pueblo," The post from Radio Jornalera about the event says. "Only the people save the people." N
The posada will start at 4 p.m. and end at 10 p.m. on 175 N Euclid Ave, Pasadena. Free entrance. Mor information at (626) 440-0112.
