Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez (D-NY) has been posting on social media urging people, particularly the undocumented community, to know their rights. Despite not having legalized status, undocumented immigrants continue to have rights under the U.S. Constitution. President Trump’s border czar Tom Homan doesn’t like it and is doing everything he can to attack the New York representative known as AOC.
Homan has called her the “dumbest congresswoman ever elected” and has called for the Department of Justice to investigate AOC for teaching people their constitutional rights.
Homan said on Fox News that “she wants to tell these people how to evade arrest.”
He has accused AOC of being an “impedement” which we’re guessing he meant to say “impediment.”
AOC is undeterred. She posted the video where Homan calls her “dumb” on Bluesky and added: “This is why you fight these cowards. The moment you stand up to them, they crumble. Homan has nothing. The Fourth Amendment is clear and I am well within my duties to educate people of their rights. He can threaten me with jail and call names all he wants. He’s got nothing else.”
