L.A. Galaxy groups posted on Instagram that they would boycott Saturday’s “El Trafico” game against LAFC at BMO Stadium.

“Victoria Block will officially not attend Saturday, July 19th, in solidarity with those who can’t attend,” they posted on Instagram. The post includes the logos for Galaxy Outlawz, ACB and Los Angeles Galaxians.

They are also protesting the lack of support from the MLS team: “The lack of help that AEG and L.A. Galaxy has not provided to the city of Los Angeles.”

The L.A. Galaxy stated that they would not issue a statement on the protests or occupation of the city.

Some L.A. Galaxy fans have cancelled their season tickets due to the team's lack of supportive statements for the immigrant community of the city.

LAFC issued a statement on June 8 on their Instagram account: "LAFC believes that the true strength of our community comes from the people and cultures that make up the tapestry of this beautiful and diverse city. Today, when so many in our city are feeling fear and uncertainty, LAFC stands shoulder to shoulder with all members of our community."

The Galaxy vs LAFC game is a classic rival game, which was named “El Trafico,” instead of El Clásico, given that both teams are from the traffic-heavy city.
