FOX Deportes is celebrating its 30th anniversary by putting the spotlight on the World Baseball Classic (WBC), an international tournament. This year it will feature Shohei Ohtani from Japan, the Cuban-born Randy Arozarena from Mexico and Ronald Acuña Jr. from Venezuela, among others. 

The network launched  in 1996, to showcase Spanish-language sports storytelling to the Latino community.The WBC tournament brings together the best players in the world representing their countries of origin. The 2026 edition also features players Aaron Judge from the U.S. and Yoshinobu Yamamoto from Japan.

The tournament will take place from March 4–17, with host cities including Tokyo, San Juan, Houston and Miami. FOX Deportes will broadcast 28 live games from the tournament, including the final from Miami on March 17.

In 2023, the tournament attracted an average audience of over 5.2 million viewers, highlighted by the championship matchup between Japan and the United States, which aired across FOX platforms.

Coverage of the 2026 WBC will be led by announcers Adrián García-Márquez, Carlos Álvarez and Ronaldo Nichols, alongside analysts Edgar González and Jaime Motta. While adding more Latino representation to the WBC coverage, just today, the six-time Latin Grammy Becky G, also announced on her instagram that she is the new face of the 2026 WBC, fronting the tournament's “Expect Everything” campaign.
