Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a driver involved in a hit-and-run near the University of Southern California that left a pedestrian injured earlier this month.

On Tuesday, the LAPD posted on X (formerly Twitter) about the ongoing search for the suspect.

A video shows the collision occurred around 10:10 p.m. on October 1 as the pedestrian was walking in a marked crosswalk at Vermont Avenue and 36th Street, when a dark-colored sedan struck the victim and fled the scene, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The suspect remains at large, and no description was available, police said.

On April 15, 2015, the LA City Council created a Hit-and-run reward program. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered by the city for information leading to the identity, arrest and conviction of the driver.

Anyone with information about the hit-and-run was urged to contact Officer Cha at 213-458-3472. Calls during non-business hours or weekends should be directed to 877-527-3247. Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477 or visit lacrimestoppers.org.
