This year, South Gate’s popular summer Concert in the Park series will end with a performance by Mariachi Divas de Cindy Shea, providing community members with an evening of family entertainment.
Attendees may bring their own picnic basket. Lawn chairs and blankets are encouraged. Food trucks and a beer garden will be onsite. No dogs are allowed.
The Mariachi Divas de Cindy Shea is an all-female mariachi band based in Los Angeles. The band was founded in 1999 by Cindy Shea. In 2009, they became the first all-female mariachi band ever to be nominated for a Grammy Award, and the first to win one. They also recently performed at the 35th Annual MARIACHI USA Festival, which invites fans and newcomers alike to experience the magic of mariachi music under the stars at the Hollywood Bowl.
