What you need to know for the California primary

California's primary will be highly contested, given that only the top two candidates will move on to the midterm elections for California's governor's seat. 

Here are some key dates to keep in mind to make sure you can vote:

The state's governor’s race is now wide open following Eric Swalwell's exit. The most recent polling after Swalwell dropped out was released on Thursday morning.
