The Contra-ICE album release party is on Saturday, October 3 at La Cita Bar. The bill brings together musicians, comedians and artists featured on the “Contra-ICE Vol. 1: ICE OUT” compilation.

Artists featured on the album will perform, including David J (of Love & Rockets, Bauhaus), Fishbone, Los Abandoned, Daniel French (of Las  Cafeteras), Uli Bella (Ozomatli), Gretchen Parlato, Of Mexican Descent feat. 2Mex, Nancy  Sanchez, Las Chorizeras, filer Coleman (ex. Cop Shoot Cop), Jodi Lin, HopesAndDrums, DJ  Dali, comedians Frankie Quinones, Richard Montoya (of Culture Clash) and CALÓ News staff cartoonist Lalo Alcaraz will be there. 

The album is a SoundsGood Records release and proceeds of ticket sales benefit Build Art Make Change, the nonprofit behind Contra-ICE Vol. 1: ICE  OUT. Proceeds of the album will raise vital funds for Unión del Barrio and National Day Laborer  Organizing Network (NDLON) to support their ongoing work defending human, civil, and labor rights  for impacted communities. 

Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 8 p.m. La Cita Bar, 336 S. Hill St., Los Angeles, CA 90013. Tickets: $25 advance / $30 at the door. Age: 21+
