The University of La Verne will host Pulitzer Prize–winning journalist and author Héctor Tobar for a day of engaging conversations around his book “Our Migrant Souls: A Meditation on Race and the Meanings and Myths of ‘Latino.’”
The event is part of the university’s annual One Book, One University program. Students, faculty, and community members come together to reflect on the complex and diverse experiences of Latinos in America.
Join one of today’s leading Latino voices for a powerful conversation about race, identity, immigration, and belonging in the United States. It will be moderated by Professor Jacqueline Kozak from the University of La Verne.
Wednesday, October 22, 12:00 p.m. for the FLEX & student lecture & conversation with the author at the Sports Science & Athletics Pavilion. At 3:00 p.m., it will be a community-wide lecture & conversation with the author at the Stephen & Ann Morgan Auditorium. The event is free and open to the public.
