California passed California Senate Bill 627, (the "No Secret Police Act"), signed by Governor Newsom in September 2025, which bans local and federal law enforcement, including ICE, from wearing face coverings like ski masks during operations, with exceptions for tactical situations or health. Of course, the Trump admin is suing over it, claiming it endangers the muderous ICE agents.
