Mother and Daughter arrested at Naval Base
An Oxnard resident is pleading for public support after her mother and sister were arrested at the entrance of a Naval Base on the same day as the Glass House raid. With streets in Camarillo closed due to the raid, they became lost and made a wrong turn toward the base, where military guards arrested them and drove them to the Camarillo ICE office.
Her sister, now detained, leaves behind two children: a 1½-year-old daughter still breastfeeding and a 7-year-old son diagnosed with attention deficit disorder. Their mother, also detained, leaves behind her grandchildren as well as her children—a 13-year-old and a high school senior.
Both mother and daughter are now separated, fighting their cases from detention centers in Arizona and New Mexico.
The family has launched a GoFundMe to help cover legal fees and other related expenses: https://tinyurl.com/Daughter-and-mother
