Bad Bunny is going to have a busy month of February. On top of his Super Bowl halftime show performance, he has been nominated for six awards for the 2026 Grammy Awards and he is the first to do it with an album in Spanish. 

Bad Bunny is competing for the top awards, including Record Of The Year for “DtMF” against “Manchild” from Sabrina Carpenter, “Anxiety” from Doechii, “WILDFLOWER” from Billie Eilish, “Abracadabra” from Lady Gaga, “luther” from Kendrick Lamar With SZA, “The Subway” from Chappell Roan and “APT.” from ROSÉ, Bruno Mars.

Topping the list of nominees are Kendrick Lamar with nine nominations, Lady Gaga with seven and others, including Sabrina Carpenter and Leon Thomas.

His other nominations include Album Of The Year and Song Of The Year.

Bad Bunny is one of the few Latino artists nominated for the top Grammy awards. Selena Gomez is nominated for “Bluest Flame” in the Best Dance Pop Recording category, which features her husband, Benny Blanco.

Cardi B was nominated for Best Rap Performance for "Outside." The Marias and Katseye were both nominated for Best New Artist and the latter was also nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group. Nicki Nicole was nominated for Best Música Urbana Album along with Bad Bunny, J Balvin, Feid, Trueno and Yandel.  

For the Best Latin Pop Album category, the nominees are Rauw Alejandro for “Cosa Nuestra,” Andrés Cepeda for “BOGOTÁ (DELUXE),” Karol G for “Tropicoqueta,” Natalia Lafourcade for “Cancionera” and “¿Y ahora qué?” from Alejandro Sanz.

For the Best Latin Rock or Alternative Album, the nominees are “Genes Rebeldes” from  Aterciopelados, “ASTROPICAL” from Bomba Estéreo, Rawayana, ASTROPICAL, “PAPOTA” from CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso, “ALGORHYTHM” from Los Wizzards and “Novela” from Fito Paez.

For Best Música Mexicana Album (Including Tejano) the nominees are “MALA MÍA” from Fuerza Regida and Grupo Frontera, “Y Lo Que Viene” from Grupo Frontera, “Sin Rodeos” from Paola Jara, “Palabra De To's [Seca]” from Carín León and “Bobby Pulido & Friends Una Tuya Y Una Mía - Por La Puerta Grande [En Vivo]” from Bobby Pulido.

This year’s eligibility period includes recordings released between Aug. 31, 2024, to Aug. 30, 2025. The final round of Grammy voting, which will determine Grammy winners, will take place Dec. 12, 2025 – Jan. 5, 2026. The Grammys will return to Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena on Sunday, Feb. 1, 2026, and will broadcast live on the CBS Television Network and streaming on Paramount+* at 8-11:30 p.m. ET/5-8:30 p.m. PT.
